Hi
For some reason this is showing on my checkout page.
Could this be because I have preorders? Although they have to pay straight away.
Is there a way I can remove this image?

A user encounters an unwanted subscription disclaimer message appearing on their checkout page, despite not intentionally offering subscriptions. They mention having preorders that require immediate payment.
Proposed Solution:
A support representative suggests the message appears because the store is configured to sell subscription products. They provide steps to remove or modify the text:
Current Status:
The original poster reports being unable to delete or modify the text as instructed. They also confirm uncertainty about having any recurring payment subscriptions set up.
Recommended Next Step:
The support representative advises contacting Shopify support directly to review store configurations and ensure everything is set up correctly, particularly if no subscriptions should be active.

Hey @amandaZ2020 ,
You are seeing this message because your store sells products through subscriptions. The text can be referred to as “subscription legal disclaimer text” and it ensures that the customer is aware they have purchased a subscription and are opting in for recurring orders.
If you want to hide this text completely then please follow the steps outlined below:
Navigate to your online store > Themes > Click on the there dots (…) as shown in the screenshot below > Select Edit default theme content.
In the search that shows up, search for the string “One or more items in your cart is a deferred or recurring purchase”, as shown in the screenshot below:
You will be able to see a field with the label: “Purchase options agreement label” as shown in the screenshot above. You can update the content as per your store’s requirements. If you want to remove the text completely, just add a blank space and hit the save button.
The updated text (or nothing, if you added a blank space) will now appear on the checkout page instead of the default text.
Hope this helps!

Hi @swym - Thank you for this, but it won’t let me delete or change the sentence.
I also don’t have anything set up as a subscription for recurring payments, so not 100% sure about that.
Hey @amandaZ2020 ,
If your store has no subscriptions, I recommend contacting Shopify support. They can review your store’s configurations and ensure everything is set up correctly.
