Meta/Facebook Ad clicks not showing in Shopify Analytics

I’ve run Meta ads since the store went live 6 months ago. Starting July 1, 2024, I noticed a big dropoff in store traffic.

Before July 1, the store, on average, the store got 50 Meta link clicks and 15 SEO clicks. The Shopify analytics was showing over 60 clicks a day.

The Meta link clicks in July are still averaging 50 per day. But now the Shopify analytics is only showing 15 clicks a day. So for some reason the Meta clicks are coming through. I went thru my Meta ads and everything looks good.

Here is my store:

Can anyone steer me in the right direction to get this fixed? Thanks in advance.

Update. Yesterday I shut down the ads for a few hours and turned them back on. The ads I am using are Conversion ads.

I also checked Google Analytics, and the traffic isn’t showing on there as well. So there is something blocking the Meta traffic from getting to https://algagendirect.com/.

I need to get this fixed. Any help would be appreciated.

Google Analytics has a measurement called “Paid Social” which are Meta clicks. I could see since early July the “Paid Social” clicks were zero even though on the Meta end it showed over 500 link clicks. Before July the site was getting the majority of the traffic from Paid Social.

I got in touch with both Shopify and Meta.

Shopify got back to me fast and they said it looks like it’s on Meta’s end.

Meta was not very helpful. Three agents gave the same boilerplate unhelpful response and they refused to help me anymore.

I paused the Meta ad which stopped generating traffic. I created a new Traffic campaign ad on Tuesday night. Google Analytics is showing “Paid Social” clicks are coming to the site again.

So you reckon I should run sales campaign again ?

You can try Meta customer service. Maybe you will have more luck.

In the meantime create at least one new campaign to see if that gets traffic.

btw with Google Analytics “Paid Social” clicks don’t really show until the next day.
