Meta Pixel With Shopify Partner Integration Not Firing

I’m having some issues with pixel setups. However i installed all pixels (facebook,tiktok,google) through the official sales channel apps. So i haven’t done them manually.

I’ve been pushing ads on fb/tiktok and i’ve noticed the purchase event isn’t counting or working at all, as its crucial since i’m pushing for conversion ads optimisation.

Right now i’ve installed the meta pixel helper extension and when i go to my checkout page this is the error i get:

The Facebook pixel activated 2 times on this web page, which can cause errors in your event tracking

So even on the checkout pixel there seems to be an issue? How can i solve this?

It sounds like you have duplicate pixels firing on your checkout page, which is causing issues with event tracking. Here’s how to fix it:

  1. Check for multiple pixel installations: Ensure that no other apps or code snippets are manually installing additional pixels. If you’re using the official apps, there shouldn’t be any manual pixel installations conflicting with them.
  2. Remove duplicate pixels: Go to your Shopify admin, navigate to Online Store > Preferences, and make sure only one pixel is installed for each platform (Facebook, Google, TikTok). If there are duplicates, remove the extra ones.
  3. Use Pixel Helper: After resolving any duplicates, use Facebook’s Pixel Helper to verify that only one pixel is firing on your checkout page.
  4. Test events: Test your purchase event to ensure it triggers correctly by using the Facebook Pixel Test Events tool.

This should fix the double pixel firing issue and get your purchase events working.
