Metafield filters on collection AND search results pages

I have 5 metafields setup, and their data populated on my stores products.

These metafields appear in my colelction pages sidebar as filters, and they work great.

The don’t appear on my search results page.

Is this down to the theme I am using (Porto V4) not including something that is needed for this to filter the search results page, or is there another issue causing the problem?

Assuming that the text in the Shopify admin telling me that these filters will “Allow your customers to filter collections and search results…”, I can only think this is a theme issue?

Any thoughts/suggestions on rectifying this that don’t involve a paid app from the app store are most welcome.

Please go to Customize > Others > Search. You just need to add block filter like collection page, it will work fine.

Hope it helps!

The block filter doesn’t appear there as an option to be added?

How hard is it to “copy” an existing block to have it be usable in the editor in that place. There is one on the collections page (as you know).

I am very grateful to you for doing this!

Now that I see it, it looks like a simple fix, and it’s a bit strange that the theme doesn’t do this by default!

For anyone reading this, they requested a staff account, which I created, and then they logged in to my admin system and made the modifications for me. Going way above and beyond IMO.
