Metafields are visible on product page but I'm not sure how to get rid of them.

Topic summary

A store owner is experiencing unwanted metafield data displaying as visible code/text on their product pages (shown in attached screenshots). They attempted to delete certain metafields to remove the display, but this caused issues with their shop’s size filtering system, which relied on those same metafields.

Key challenges:

  • Metafield content appearing publicly on product pages instead of being hidden
  • Deleting metafields breaks the size filter functionality
  • Need to maintain metafields for SEO purposes while hiding them from customer view
  • Unable to recreate filters using alternative methods

Current status: One respondent indicated the issue can be resolved by adjusting the product liquid template and collection section code. The discussion remains open with no detailed solution provided yet.

Thanks to anyone who helps!

On all my products page it shows coding that I wasn’t sure where it came from but then realized it’s from the metafields somewhere. I tested on a few, deleting certain metafields I had in place but it wouldn’t go away fully.

Also a problem I ran into is that I used those metafields as a filter for my shop and as I was removing them it was taking them out of the size filter. I tried making filters elsewhere but also couldn’t make it work. I would greatly appreciate any help as I’d like to use the metafields for SEO etc but don’t want it showing up on my products page, while also having filters available for sizing.

We can fix this accordingly but will require some adjustment in the product liquid and collection section

Let’s connect and fix this
