Many of the displayed metrics and reports are not showing information that I need for my online store as the information is skewed by transactions passing through my two (bricks and morter) locations. I would like information relevant to the customer journey on my website that excludes any transactions via Shopify POS.
I hear you—it’s so much easier to make decisions when you’re looking at just your online shoppers, not in-store sales mixing everything together.
To zero in on your website traffic and orders, head over to Analytics Reports and open any sales or behavior report. You’ll see a “Sales channel” filter near the top switch it to “Online Store” and watch all those POS transactions disappear from your data.
If you find yourself repeating this step, build a quick custom report in Analytics Dashboards with “Sales channel = Online Store” baked in, then save it. Next time you click in, you’ll see only your web customers’ journey, from first visit to checkout.
Give it a spin and see how much clearer those online only insights look!
