Migrating existing online store to a Shopify online store

Good afternoon everyone hope your all doing well,

I’m still relatively new to Shopify and am probably going to be using it more often, I have a current website that exists but is not dealt with/used through Shopify, and I would like to migrate this website to Shopify and deal with/use it from Shopify.

I would like to keep as many things the same as possible if I migrate to Shopify, this includes the designs of the website, the domain name, etc etc…

Could you please explain to me first of all if this is possible or not, and secondly, will I be able to keep everything the same way as it used to be or not? If this isn’t possible or only partially possible, could you explain what would be different, what would I be able to keep the same and what would have to change, what would I have to loose, etc..?

I know this may be quite general/broad as a question so if there is anything I need to clarify/find out first, would you be able to help me understand what I need to check first, or at least guide me to the information please?

I would like explain about Shopify and it’s broadness you can use to showcase your products to reach to the World.

Before suggesting anything about migration your existing design and flow I would like to see your current website to reach on a conclusion.

Except these you can transfer your domain to Shopify.

There should be a lot of info and aspects you can recreate or copy over for your store, though there may be some specifics that you cannot, depending on your existing setup.

You should be able to connect your existing domain to Shopify and update it to point to your new store as outlined here. This will allow anyone using that domain name to find your new store as soon as it is updated.

The biggest change may be in terms of your website’s appearance, as Shopify stores use theme templates like those here in our store to allow you to quickly and easily create a great-looking online store.

There are free and paid themes available there, and you can preview and customise any theme you’re interested in before committing to purchasing and publishing it live on your store.

This would allow you to check out a number of themes to see which might be best suited to match your existing website before you continue.
