Migrating from PrestaShop to Shopify : products prices issue

Hey,

I have this issue for which I have already been reaching out the Shopify Partner support, and I thought it would be very helpful to bring you the solution once found.
Maybe some of you already know this solution and it would be great to share it with us :slightly_smiling_face:

So, I am migrating for a client a Prestashop store to Shopify.

I have followed the steps from “Step 1: Export your store data from PrestaShop” of this link :

https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/migrating-to-shopify/shopify-import/presta-shop-migration

I could indeed download a ZIP file containing the store data, but the “products_combinations_sql” file does not contain any data in “Product:Price tax included” and “Product:Unit Price Reference Unit” columns.

This is something I have figured out once I got the store data imported to the Shopify store with “Store importer”, all the products and their variants displayed 0€.

Does anybody know how to get these columns properly filled with the exportation from PrestaShop? Or maybe a workaround?

Thanks a lot!
Arthur

I have the same issue. What version of Prestashop are you exporting from?

Has anyone found a solution yet?

Thanks

Hi Arthur, shop import really is a challenge. I’m trying now the third time and each cost me hours. Anyway, in Prestashop prices for variants are deltas to the base price. The base prices, or whole sale prices are not being exported. (Row header Product:Wholesale price). The variant’s deltas are being exported in the row “Combination:Impact on price”. What I did was a Prestahop database export with phpadmin with all id_product and prices. id_product in the database export and “Product:Product ID” in the csv exported with the shopify app relate to each other. In a spreadsheet app you can combine both and sum up the product base price and the variant’s deltas. I made this in Libreoffice calc, here is the formula =WENNFEHLER(ZAHLWERT(H2;“.”)+ZAHLWERT(AL2;“.”);H2) . Enjoy matching the data. Shopify should work on this issue, since with PS8.0.0 more merchants will swap to shopify.

Take care, Molsondry
