Migrating products from WooCommerce to Shopify

Hi,

I need to migrate about 200pcs products from WooCommerce to Shopify.

Questions:

  1. Export products from WooCommerce → then Import those to Shopify? Is that the best way, there are about 200pcs products

  2. Is there any apps that would help to migrate products?

You can try using Shopify Import app or there is a paid one “matrixify”.

Hi @Kjankko-US ,

It’s great to hear that you are migrating from WooCommerce to Shopify. We have a general help guide to migrating to Shopify, but you might prefer the guide that specifically addresses Migrating from WooCommerce to Shopify.

You’ll notice that the Store Importer app is mentioned in the guide (and was also mentioned by @itshakeel23 ) as the best app solution, but that imports all of your data in an XML file and not just your products. For importing just your products, you’ll need to use the trusty CSV file.

What kind of store are you building? And what brought you over to Shopify?

200 products are quite an import! Do you have a physical inventory? And do you have a brick-and-mortar shop or simply an online store?

Hello @Kjankko-US

You sure can use the Matrixify app to migrate your Products from WooCommerce to Shopify.

For more simple cases indeed Shopify import app would be fine. The main difference to use Matrixify app is the amount of data that will be migrated.
For WooCommerce - Shopify migration app uses WooCommerce API instead of XML or CSV files to get data from WooCommerce site which results in a lot more data from WooCommerce. The same way you can also migrate Customers, Orders and Categories/Collections from WooCommerce to Shopify which would result in very detailed migration.

Here we do have a great tutorial on how to migrate WooCommerce store to Shopify. As per tutorial, you can also specify to migrate only Products without migrating everything at once.
