Migrating subscriptions from squarespace to shopify

Hello, I have a squarespace website that takes subscription payments through the stripe API. Is it possible to migrate to shopify and keep the recurring payments intact? I’ve looked around but wasn’t able to understand 1- if it was possible and 2- if it was, what was the best way to proceed. Does anyone have any advice here?

I’m afraid this won’t work, you cannot import subscriptions without subscription app installation and even though you have an app installed all subscriptions need to be migrated via app, because each app can have access to its own subscriptions only.

I would like your advise on a critical challenge for a client project.

I am assisting a client with a Shopify - NetSuite integration. The client is looking to migrate from BigCommerce to Shopify, however, they are stuck in their migration process due to needing to move payment tokens from NetSuite to Shopify. They are using WindCave as their payment gateway for the BigCommerce and NetSuite as their ERP. The client has active subscriptions, and their existing payment tokens are in NetSuite.

The key challenge is that WindCave has confirmed they do not support a direct token migration between platforms.

My specific question for you is twofold:

    1. Is it technically feasible to migrate these payment tokens from NetSuite to Shopify, or does this migration have to occur directly between the gateways?

  2. If so, what would you recommend as the best approach?

The goal is to ensure a seamless experience for the client’s subscribers without interrupting their recurring billing.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or potential solutions you might be aware of from your experience.
