Migration from LightSpeed Onsite and Magento 2 to Shopify - Any advice please.

Hi

We have been using Lightspeed Onsite and Magento (using Accumula as as API) for many years and have decided to bite the bullet and move over to Shopify. If anyone can give any advice on potential pitfalls it would be greatly appreciated. What concerns me most is the back office order management as currently we have a website and s store and use Onsite to create quotes that then become orders etc. Most items are ordered in specifically for clients and LS Onsite allows us to easily park back orders and then group them together per supplier and also take deposits in various forms. If anyone has found good apps or Shopify Partners to work with it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi there,

To address your concern about creating quotes in Shopify, you can use the “Draft Orders” feature, which can also act as quotes. Customers can accept these quotes by simply accepting the draft order, and it will then convert to a regular order. This can be a useful feature for your business since most of your items are ordered specifically for clients.

Regarding your inventory management, there are various apps that can help you onboard your products and inventory to Shopify. One such solution is Accumula, which offers a way to onboard products and inventory to Shopify.

You can find more information about their Shopify integration on their support page: https://support.accumula.com/hc/en-us/categories/202224958-Shopify-Integration

I hope this information helps, and best of luck with your transition to Shopify!
