Hey All
Was able to add a display remaining qty on the product page using this code
https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/themes/themes-by-shopify/vintage-themes/customizing-vintage-themes/show-remaining-quantity
All works well except when a product has Sold Out it displays the qty of the previous product available?
You find an example in the shop to understand the problem further here:
https://ixchel.com.au/collections/frontpage/products/cashmere-fling?variant=40505914884235
Can anyone offer any other code advise that I need to add to display a 0 when a product has SOLD OUT?
Thanks
Bumping…I’m having the same issue. I was able to edit the code to show zero when out of stock, but this only works if I refresh the page (which the customer shouldn’t have to do). The out of stock qty is not being corrected realized when the drop down is changed without the page being reloaded.
Hi Mawright586,
I wasn’t able to correct this fault at the time, and well, time runs away from us all!
We use a work around currently which is a manual process of adding (SOLD) against the product when the qty is zero.
Because of the drop downs, when you have so many items in the drop downs we felt this is better for the customer to see straight away that the product has no items available. We also move those items to the bottom of the drop down list so customers are not scrolling through sold and unsold items. We maintain the sold items on the list as they can and are repeated.
If you come across the fix please share it here so others can fix it aw well.
Good Luck
Cheers
