I have several images of a product that I would like to make a carousel instead of a bunch of static images below the add to cart bar. How do I do this?
Topic summary
-
Goal: Convert multiple product images on a product page from static thumbnails below the add-to-cart section into a sliding carousel in the Minimal theme.
-
Guidance: This requires custom coding. A recommended approach is to integrate a JavaScript slider library, specifically Swiper.js, to enable a touch-friendly carousel. Other slider libraries could also work.
-
Details: No step-by-step instructions, code snippets, or theme-specific implementation details were provided. Swiper.js is a JS library for creating responsive, touch-enabled carousels/sliders.
-
Status: Unresolved/ongoing. Next steps are to implement a slider library like Swiper.js within the theme or seek developer assistance for setup and integration.
This will need some coding. If you have any experience with it you could take use of the swiper js library to make a sliding carousel feature. There are other libraries as well but this is what I particularly use.
