Dear all,
This is my first time asking a question here.
Please forgive my words of choice because I’m not a native English speaker.
I’m trying the find the write words to express the issue.
But I cannot find a similar thread about this issue and the problem looks quite strange to me.
First of all I’m using a purchased template with no alteration on the web code.
I’ve attached 2 pics to show a normal fuctioning search result compare to the malfuction one.
The 1st one is a working product page from google search result on my website.
The 2nd pic is the product link that somehow has a zh-au subpage web address being added to it without modifying the SEO option in the product page.
Both items are at top of the search result so I did not touch the title or SEO at all to prevent it from change the ranking.
The problem here when clicking through the second link is that it displays an empty page that I never landed into.
The web title shows a “404 Not Found”
The circled black bar in the middle of the page led to home page.
The web address displays an extra subpage of /zh-au/
The remaing web address is exactly the same as setted in the product page SEO setting.
I suppose this could be where the problem lies.
Does anyone have ideas about how could this have happened?
Basically when we put up a new product we simply do: copies an old product → change the content → change the SEO web address → publish.
Kind regards,
Sven
