Misrepresentation Google Merchant Center Suspension Review Help

Hello. I am one of many who needs help with Google Merchant Center. Google’s vague instructions on issue fixes are challenging to say the least. After reading some of the solutions in the Shopify Community and applying them when possible, I am still unsure if enough has been done to pass the review. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@LuxuryColl virtual businesses addresses are not supported. Make sure you have a real physical address where you, the person are located. Google mostly if not always suspends businesses, with virtual addresses.

Missing privacy policy, shipping, returns, contact links in the footer of all pages.

Everything looks discounted, only show a discount if it’s real, meaning don’t show it if you have not sold the item at it’s original price in recent history.

Thank you Emmanuel for your reply and review. I will address noted issues accordingly. The issue with all the discounted items will be addressed to Shopify or the distributor app developer because I am unaware of how to control that setting. Thanks again.

Hello, I have the same problem and went through these guidelines page by page and correct what I could think of:

  1. Remove virtual business address

  2. Apply for a phone number

  3. Make sure business info in GMC is same as Shopify

  4. Carpet-sweeping to every single product page for product title, description and images

  5. Remove all discounted products

  6. Make sure all policies are put in place accordingly

  7. Follow SEO guideline to setup structured data (JSON-LD)

Nothing is working, my GMC is still having Misrepresentation issue. It says:
"Make sure your Merchant Center and online store follow the following best practices / guidelines

  • Provide transparency about your business identity, business model, policies and how your customers can interact with you
  • Promote your online reputation by showing reviews or highlighting any badges or seals of approval
  • Use a professional design for your online store that includes an SSL certificate help_outline
  • Provide information in the business information settings in your Merchant Center help_outline
  • Follow SEO guidelines, improve your eligibility for seller ratings and match your product data in your Merchant Center with your online store"

As you are drop shipping, you can imagine how many thousands of other merchants are selling the same exact thing.

For example, have original content (images and text)

For example, your reviews are fake, Google will not approve businesses that mislead consumers.

reviews on our site? Do not recall having any reviews yet and certainly not
fake ones (unless someone posted them).
