Hi, after several appeals @Google_3 I make a topic here about my issue with Google Merchant (and now also Google Ads) that is suspended due tot mispresentation.
I had doubts about what to fill in under the field ‘vendor’ in shopify: do I fill in the brandname of listed products or my own business name? Not sure if this has anything to do with the mispresentation issue by the way.
For the other part I think I have all policies correctly on my website and in footer etc. Would be great to get some directions for me to work on more… I can make a new claim in July
Thanks!
Hi @cripsyjay ,
For the ‘vendor’ field in Shopify, use the brand name of the product, not your store name (unless you’re the brand).
As for the misrepresentation suspension, double-check:
-
Clear return & refund policy
-
Contact info (address, phone/email)
-
Accurate product info & pricing
-
Consistency between site and feed
If all looks good, you can reappeal in July with a clean setup. Good luck!
Thanks for confirming my thoughts about the vendor field. I can check that one off. I will check the other topics you mentioned again.
For the consistency part: how can feed information not be consistent with the site as is automatically gets information from the site? Sorry, I’m new to this. Thanks for your immediate response.
You’re right that the feed pulls from your site, but mismatches can happen due to:
HI @cripsyjay When suspended, there is a lot to it.
Whatever you do, never re-appeal when you just make 1 change, unlike what others say. Please view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oae4YgIGWLA
You have a very limited amount of reviews you can ask, once reached (i think 3) you have a perma ban. So make sure you resolve all potential issues, not just 1.
When looking at the website, and not just only your reply, here is what I noticed:
You are missing a privacy policy in the footer of all pages.
You are missing the shipping policy in the footer of all pages.
I recommend adding a contact form on your contact page.
I see you have stock status, but it should first say in stock or out of stock, not stock low. You can instead say. In stock, low stock.
Make sure you have original content (images, text)
Checkout is missing shipping policy.
You will have more issues, so make sure to check:

Thank you @EmmanuelFlossie really helpfull feedback. Privacypolicy was already on all pages ‘privacybeleid’ but shipping policy didn’t display for some reason, fixed that now together with contact form and stock monitor. I will do a further deep dive in the other topics you posted before my next appeal. Hopefully it will be succesfull.
Apparently the most recent claim was already the last one and there will not be a new possibility. I emailed the support but they say the maximum is reached. Bummer, wish I knew more before make the first claims. Really thought the feed was a problem as the supension came right after I changed the vendor field. Guess I have to do without Google shopping and adds now…
