Is there anyone that utilizing google ads & google merchant center for shopify? I have done this and got flagged as Misrepresentation by Google Merchant Center. I have written the ToS, Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, Contact Information, Privacy Policy, and Legal Notice in my Shopify website. I have sent 2 appeals but the issue is still not removed and they not provide any specific reason. Do you guys have any idea regarding of this case?
Make sure the shipping time and store address on your Shopify store are the same as yours on GMC.
Misrepresentation can be one of the most frustrating Google Merchant Center suspensions because Google rarely tells you the exact reason.
Besides the policies you’ve already added, I’d also check a few other things:
- Make sure your business name, address, and contact details are consistent across your website and Merchant Center.
- Verify that all products have accurate pricing, availability, and shipping information.
- Check for placeholder content, broken pages, or misleading claims anywhere on the site.
- If you’re using Shopify Payments or another payment gateway, ensure the checkout experience is complete and trustworthy.
I’ve also seen stores remain suspended even after multiple appeals, only to discover there was a small trust issue elsewhere on the site. If you’re comfortable sharing your website, I’d be happy to take a look and see if anything stands out.
As you already sent 2 appeals, that means you only have 1 appeal left. Don’t request it unless you have gone the extra mile and fixed all potential issues.
What you need to fix, is dependent on your business, website, niche etc. There is no 1 fix fits all merchants sadly. And as you know, Google will not tell you what the issues are.
Start by looking at the policies and guides below:

Building on what Emmanuel flagged: you have one appeal left, so it’s worth finding the actual issue before submitting it.
Having all the policy pages is the baseline, but the Misrepresentation flag usually comes from what Google finds when it crawls your product pages and compares them to your feed data. The account-level suspension banner doesn’t tell you much. The Diagnostics section does.
In Merchant Center, go to Products > Diagnostics and look at product-level issues specifically. Price mismatch or availability mismatch errors there will point to exactly where your feed data diverges from what’s on the landing pages.
Also check your checkout flow. If taxes or any fees appear for the first time at checkout and aren’t shown on the product page, Google can treat that as a price inconsistency. On Shopify this can happen depending on your tax display configuration, particularly if you’re selling to markets where prices are shown with or without VAT.
For the contact page: a form alone is often not enough. A visible email address and a physical address (city and country at minimum) carry more weight with reviewers than a contact form.
Fix what the Diagnostics tab surfaces first, then go through a complete checkout on your store as a customer and note every price and fee that appears at each step. That’s the most concrete evidence you can bring to your final appeal.
Hey there @Anisa_Nur_Amilla
The misrepresentation of the Google Merchant Center is commonly triggered by the trust signals throughout the whole store instead of a single specific page. Check for consistency across your business information, make it easy to verify your contact information, be sure product information, pricing and shipping expectations are clear, and make sure your domain and policies reflect what you really do. It may be helpful to look at your customer journey, from product page to checkout, to see if any transparency points are missing.
hope you’re great!
misrepresentation is often caused by issue beyond your policies, double check your business details, product information, pricing, and shipping consistency, then request a manual review from google merchants center support.
