A week ago, I deleted products from my Shopify that were no longer available; however, they are still showing up in Google Merchant Center, and now have the issue: Missing in-store product price. I can’t figure out how to permanently delete them from merchant center. I currently have them paused, but that does nothing. I’m worried but our merchant center account recently got suspended for misrepresentation and I feel like this issue is one of the causes.
Delete or manually re-sync feed.
It’s important to give just as you receive. You have 3 other posts, all are answered. Please mark them as solved so the professional can receive a positive feedback. A like is also encouraged.
google flags items with this error when you do not submit a valid value for the price [price] attribute for one or more items in either:
- your local products feed
- local products inventory feed
so, in an ideal case scenario, those values should be added to the flagged items and the corrected product data should be submitted on GMC.
however, as you are not selling/don’t want to sell those items for which you are seeing this error, delete them at the source file. and then using your original product upload method (google sheets, content api, or data feed solution), resubmit the data again on GMC.
give google 24-72 hours. the issue should resolve.
Hi @osichuu
**“You’re absolutely right — this is a common issue. Even if you delete products from Shopify, they can still remain in Google Merchant Center (GMC) until the feed fully updates.
Here’s how you can permanently remove those old products from GMC and fix the ‘Missing in-store product price’ issue:**
- Go to Google Merchant Center → Products → All Products and manually remove the unwanted items.
(Pausing them is not enough — pausing only stops them from being shown, it does NOT delete them.) - If you’re using the Google & YouTube app in Shopify:
- Open the app and click “Sync” or “Refresh Product Feed.”
- Sometimes toggling a product off and on again (unpublish/publish) forces the feed to update.
- Keep in mind — Google’s system can take 24–48 hours to fully update, so changes may not appear immediately.
- Yes, outdated or invalid products can contribute to a misrepresentation suspension, so clearing them out is important.

Hi @osichuu ,
When you delete products in Shopify, they don’t automatically get removed from Google Merchant Center. That’s why you still see them and get the “Missing in-store product price” issue.
To remove them completely:
- Go to Google Merchant Center → Products → All Products
Search for the old items and delete them (don’t just pause). - Check your feed setup
Make sure no supplemental feed or old Google & YouTube feed is still sending those products. - Force a re-sync in Shopify by updating any product so the feed refreshes.
This won’t directly cause misrepresentation, but outdated or deleted products staying active can contribute to suspensions, so cleaning the feed is important.
