Our total sales report today is missing two items from an order which has been sold today. Any reason why this would be the case? Thanks
Hey there, @JoannaHL ! Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community!
Good question you have here - we’re aware of an issue that is impacting some Shopify Analytics Reports where products or orders may be missing. Our developers are currently investigating, and are hoping to have things resolved shortly.
I’ll reply to this thread here to let you know once this has been fixed up. Once fixed, it may take a little bit of time for your analytics data to update accordingly, but things will correct themselves!
Did you notice this with any other orders beyond this one?
Thanks Imogen, hard to tell if other orders have been effected. Is there an ETA on when it will be fixed?
Hey again, @JoannaHL . Thanks for following up with me here.
The incident only seems to be isolated to October 10th/11th information, so it’s likely it hasn’t impacted orders from other days, or even beyond the one’s you’ve noticed, so no need to worry there. ![]()
We don’t have a timeline that we can provide currently in terms of when this should be resolved. However, I do know that the team is working to have it resolved, and have the missing information corrected very soon. I’ll be sure to update you here in this thread once their work has been completed.
Hi Joanna,
I am co-founder of Cube Reports. It is a new app for sales reports, inventory reports, and other reports as well.
It is unique in the sense that it will provide you with multidimensional reports so you can analyze your sales from many angles through the use of pivot tables and dynamic charts.
It is free.
If you would like to try it, please install it and let me know if you have any questions or if you think you would need any features that we are missing.
It will count with KPIs soon ![]()
Best,
Sebastian
Hey again, @JoannaHL !
Just wanted to follow up with you here and let you know that the issue with this information being shown in your analytics should be resolved now! Please let me know if you’re seeing any other issues!
How are things going with your business since we last chatted? I’d love to hear more about your store! Feel free to share a link here with us!
I’m having the same issue. Some orders can appear in the conversion report, but not in the total sales report. At the same time, these orders can be found in the order list. Does this affect me?
Hey there, @Jerrywy . Thanks for jumping in on this thread here. It’s great to meet you!
So it looks like we have an ongoing incident today (January 4th, 2023) that’s impacting data being reported in Analytics. Our developers are actively working on a fix, so I’ll update you directly in this thread once things have been resolved. It shouldn’t be too long. ![]()
Accurate analytics data is important, so I’ll apologize now for the issue! Shops are often running sales and issues like this can cause some confusion around if a sale is being successful or not. Are you currently running a sale in your store? What sort of products do you sell? I’d love to learn a bit more about your business while we wait to hear back from the devs on the issue!
Hey again, @Jerrywy ! Just following up with you!
Just letting you know that the incident that was impacting Shopify Analytics has since been resolved, so you should be seeing your information presented accurately to you now!
If this isn’t the case, please follow up with me here and let me know!
@Imogen_1 will sales data (specifically gross sales data) automatically backfill with the missing data from the time period the incident occured?
Hey there, @kastokes . Thanks for following up on our thread here. Apologies for the delayed reply!
With this incident being resolved as of January 5th, 2023 - your information should have been back-filled automatically, and your analytics should be reporting accurately. If you notice that things still appear to be off, reach out to our Live Team using this link and they’ll investigate.
In addition to the above information, I wanted to pass along this resource of leveraging the information from your analytics to make informed decisions about your business. We wrote a blog that we’ve been actively updating with new information on the topic here. I definitely recommend reading through it to see what information you can leverage to make some informed decisions!
