First notes… we are a brick & mortar gift shop with a very large amount of variants, and we currently use the Shopify POS as well.
Although not new to Shopify, I am now, in a sense.
We were previously entering all of our inventory via an app that helped us manage the consignment side of our business, which we now have discontinued, so I am learning my way through areas of Shopify I haven’t had to previously use.
Curious about how other retail shops handle restocks on repeat products… and if there are any features or methods I can use to, say, enter items from an vendor’s invoice that I have ordered from my supplier. And then when it arrives it is just more of the hit of a button to enter it all in my store inventory.
I read over the ‘incoming’ notes.. but unless I’m understanding it wrong, it doesn’t really sound like a good fit.
Any advice would be appreciated!

I don’t use POS but I just wanted to give you some direction
Set up a reorder point: Determine the minimum quantity of a product you need on hand at any given time, and create a notification or reminder system to let you know when it’s time to reorder.
Use inventory tracking: With Shopify inventory tracking, you can easily keep track of stock levels for all your products, and you’ll be alerted when inventory levels drop below a specified level.
Create purchase orders: You can use Shopify’s purchase order feature to create an order for products from your supplier. You can then use the received products feature to mark the order as received, and the inventory levels for those products will be updated automatically.
Use a barcode scanner: By using a barcode scanner, you can easily scan products as they come in and update inventory levels automatically.
Utilize the Shopify mobile app: The Shopify mobile app makes it easy to manage inventory on the go. You can use the app to check inventory levels, add new products, and even make sales.
Consider using third-party apps: There are many third-party apps available in the Shopify App Store that can help you manage inventory, automate reordering, and streamline your restocking process.
