Moving sold items automatically within collection

Hi all

Just wondered if there is a way of keeping sold items in the collections but moving them underneath the in stock items rather than having to do it manually

Hi, @Robertb2 ! Manually sorting your collections can definitely be time consuming. Therefore, I know of two ways of automatically pushing your out of stock products to the end of your collections to help you make better use of your time:

  • Use a third party app such as PushLast or Out-of-Stock-Police. These apps automatically re-sort your collections for you based on the criteria you set. For more info on using apps and how to receive support for them, please see the Help Doc on Apps for your Shopify store.

  • Customize your theme code to sort your collections this way. A Shopify Expert will be able to help you with this. Or if you are comfortable with coding, I found a Community topic here that has some tips on how to implement it yourself.

You can move out of stock products to the bottom of the collection with our app.

It has an easy setup, and all processes automatic. And also it can sync your collections hourly!

Ultimate Filter & Search has the filter to automatically move out of stock items (variants) to the end of the collection and Search result page. It’s crucial to improve customer experience on your site so customers can always see the available items they are looking for.

Hi @Helen , thank you for sharing the list in this thread! Is there a way for us to get our app (Entaice) added to your list for future comments? We go beyond just pushing out of stock products to the bottom of the page and programmatically merchandise entire collections using the latest performance and inventory data. Thank you!

Hi, @Entaice . Thanks for your commenting and letting us know about your app; It certainly sounds like it can be helpful for more than just re-ordering sold out products to the end of collections!

I noticed that it isn’t in the Shopify App Store yet. In general we prefer to recommend these apps, since they have gone through our approval process. All apps in the Shopify App Store meet our requirements and guidelines, and thus we can be sure they integrate properly with the platform. Have you considered submitting your app for review?
