Multi-product listings like Printify offers through ETSY?

Hi everyone. i am hoping someone can answer. I have searched, and googled "does shopify offer “multi-product listings” through printify, and i get a lot of “maybe’s, kinda’s, not really’s and NO’s”. If this is true, please tell me why we cant be offered the same thing as offered to ETSY sellers through Printify? check youtube for several videos explaining how simple they made it. i would post the link, but them this forum flags the post as spam.

Your questions should be directed towards Printify. They created their app and manage your Printify listings.

Multiple products in one “listing” is called a bundle. There are many bundle apps in the Shopify App Store.

Shopify doesn’t support Printify multi-product listings because Shopify is built for single products with variants, while Etsy is a marketplace with grouped listings.

So:

  • Etsy → Printify can bundle multiple products into one listing

  • Shopify → each Printify item must be a separate product

Workaround: use Shopify bundle apps or manually group products in a single page.

I did post to printify first. I havent heard back. It just seemed if printify could do an option right on printify that gives a button that actually says “create multi-product listing”, shopify should have a simple option also. I will have to look into the “bundle” apps.

 Shopify natively does not support multi-product listings the way Etsy does. Shopify’s product structure allows variants of one product (size, color, material), but variants must belong to the same product - you can’t mix a t-shirt + hoodie + mug as variants of a single listing.

Printify itself doesn’t change this limitation on Shopify, because it follows Shopify’s product structure when syncing.

The closest workarounds on Shopify are:

  1. Bundle / Build-a-Box apps - These are designed for buying multiple items together, not picking just one, but it’s the closest experience available.

For example, if you use BOGOS: Free Gift Bundle Upsell app, it provides 2 solutions:

  • Bundle Product Pagecreates a product for your bundle, so the “multi-product” selection happens directly on a product page (this one feels closer to an Etsy-style listing)

  • Bundle Builder → a standalone page where customers can browse and pick from your Printify products in one place (use it if you have multiple products)

  1. Linked options / “combined listings” (only for Plus & Enterprise plans) - Shopify has a newer Combined Listings app feature that links separate products together on one page, but it’s quite limited.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for that. i am a custom printed apparel shop, and wish to do a lot more of POD. I should have claified what i was looking to do (t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, etc) by putting under the same listing and, be able to have the customer pick which item, size, color, etc. that they want without having to search through a hierarchy of hunting (find print wanted, then put them under different collections of hoodie, or t-shirt, or sweatshirt). I am curious if anyone here does such a thing, and how they make it easy for customer visits to navigate their site quickly. i have found “sub catagories”, that work to an extent, but still frankly suck. I am looking for ideas for help. Being new to shopify, i am trying to consider canning it, and opening up an etsy store, but I do like shopify better.
