In our previous woo-commerce store, if someone bought more then 1 of a product, it attempted to estimate how many packages would be needed based what the packages can hold, etc. How do I make sure that if more then 1 is purchased, that we are not losing a money b/c shopify didn’t estimate shipping correctly. Most of my clients already had their shipping profiles set up before I started working with them so I’ve never dealt with this personally but there should be a bunch of Shopify Apps on the app store that could do this kind of calculation for you.

Take a look at those apps and read the descriptions for each.

@purdypetfood How did you set up your shipping rates?
You want to make sure that the weight is correct on each product you sell. Then you can do one of three things:
- Set up your flat shipping rates based on price (eg. $0-$25 = $10, $25-$100 = $15, etc)
- Set up your flat shipping rates based on weight (eg. 0-5 lbs = $10, 5-10lbs = $15, etc)
- Use carrier calculated rates
- Shopify can do this natively and the rate will increase with larger orders because the weight will increase. Shopify does not try to calculate how many boxes are needed, we assume 1 package.
- You could look at third party apps to solve this problem
