Mutlicurrency & Paypal Issue for india based Shopify store

Hi @Everyone,

I’m running a Shopify store from India and facing a couple of issues related to currency and payments. I’d really appreciate any guidance from other India-based merchants.

  1. Multi-currency issue:
    I’m using a currency converter app, and it works correctly on product and cart pages. However, at checkout, the currency switches back to INR. I understand that Shopify Payments is required for full multi-currency checkout, but it’s not available in India.

  • Is there any workaround to keep the selected currency (USD/EUR, etc.) through checkout?

  • How are others handling this limitation for international customers?

  1. PayPal not showing at checkout:
    I’ve enabled PayPal in my Shopify Payments settings, but it’s not दिखाई (visible) at checkout.

Here’s what I’ve already checked:

  • PayPal is activated in Settings → Payments

  • Account is connected (business account)

  • Currency is set to INR

  • Tried testing in incognito mode

Still, the PayPal option does not appear during checkout.

  • What could be the reason for this?

  • Are there any India-specific restrictions or additional setup steps I might be missing?

Any help, suggestions, or real-world solutions would be very helpful.

There is currently no solution to this problem. You can only process payments in a single currency if Shopify Payments is not available.
