My affiliate store has been terminated, has this happened to anyone else?

I have purchased a Shopify theme which cost me over $400 and had someone help me develop my store which also cost me an additional $400 and now I received an email from Shopify that my store was terminated two months in to open. It is an affiliate store where I recommend products through the Amazon associate program and I received a commission. I have submitted information stating that I am affiliate store and want to know if this has happened to anyone else. Will I receive my money back from purchasing the theme also

I have also made affiliate amazon store but i don’t think so this problem came. You can ask theme author to change license to another new store in case your store cannot be opened again. You can contact to shopify live chat support for providing you the main reason for closing the store.

Couple ideas:

  • Maybe the affiliate disclaimer wasn’t visible on a page with affiliate links

  • Maybe there was a problem with the products, like if they’re in a restricted category

I don’t think you’d be able to get a refund from the theme purchase but you could try contacting them and see if you have any options.
