My website currently uses the theme ‘Taste’ and all the pages load correctly. I am redesigning the website using the theme Aurora - not yet paid for.
When I am editing Aurora, all of our pages such as ‘Sustainability’, ‘Our Factories’ etc all direct to the content which should only be shown on the ‘Fit Guide’ page. Is this issue because I have not paid for the new theme yet or is this an issue with my pages?
Hey Emily,
The problem is for your current theme you are using different page templates for your pages like Sustainability, Our Factories, etc and In the current theme default template you have set FIT GUIDE that is showing for all the pages.
To resolve the issue you need to create differnet page template from your theme customizer
But still you don’t get that content from the old theme as those content are inside the theme so you need to create template and copy and paste those contents to the new theme.
And when you publish the template you need to select those templates from your page
Hi, Thanks for the reply however I have already done this. The pages load perfectly fine in my live website. When I edit the theme Aurora - which I have not paid for yet - this is when the pages don’t load correctly
That is all set up correctly as it works in my live store. The issues I am having is when I am editing a draft theme. the draft theme is called Aurora and I have not paid for it yet
Please go to you Online store > Navigation, edit link of those menus. You don’t get the issue with active theme because parent menu does not have a link.
Hi! Basically, templates work only with published themes. You can create templates in your draft theme, but cannot assign templates to the pages of your store. Assigning templates to pages works only with the currently published theme. Otherwise, what a confusion it would’ve caused..
