Topic summary
A new Shopify store owner selling portable vacuums seeks community feedback before launching paid advertising campaigns. They’re currently focused on building organic social media presence.
Initial Feedback Received:
- Simplify color scheme to brand colors only
- Implement direct checkout redirect (since customers likely buy single units)
- Add ‘About Us’ page to build trust and tell brand story
- Integrate shoppable Instagram feed to boost conversions
- Consider holiday-themed promotions (“Clean Up Your Savings Sale,” “Early Bird Cleaning Deals,” “Upgrade to Cordless Cleaning”)
Store Strengths Noted:
- Has favicon for brand recognition
- Includes customer reviews for credibility
- Features sticky header for easy navigation
Actions Taken:
- Adjusted color scheme
- Added ‘About Us’ page
- Began Instagram feed integration
Limitations:
- Cannot use ShopPay/Shopify Payments due to country restrictions; currently using Stripe and PayPal
Current Status: Store owner is implementing suggestions while continuing to develop marketing skills and build social media content before launching paid campaigns. The discussion remains collaborative and ongoing.
- Too much color. Try using your brand colors only.
2.I believe one customer will only buy one unit of your product. For such products, I suggest redirecting them to the checkout page as soon as the product is added to the cart. This will give the user fewer chances of abandoning the checkout process.
I’ve changed the colors a bit, I think it looks much better now!
Thank you for the advices.
Hi @minivacc
Garcia from the landing page builder app PageFly here!
Regarding your new store, congratulations!
I think your store looks great and it has some very good point:
- Have a favicon: Not many stores have it. Having a favicon for your store will make your store unique and help customers easily recognize it.
- Have customer review: Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers’ trust. You have it, and I believe that it will help to boost your conversion rate (CRO) a lot!
- Sticky header: Sticky headers allow customers to easily access menu navigation regardless if they scroll down or up on your page. Customers can also use the sticky header to quickly reach the product search area.
Although I think it looks fantastic, I have some suggestions that might help you increase your conversion rate.
- Create an ‘About Us’ Page
I’ve noticed that you currently don’t have a page that answers the question, ‘Who are you?’ on your website. An ‘About Us’ page tells the story of your journey, detailing how and where your business began and where it stands today.
Consider adding an ‘About Us’ section like this one. This is the perfect opportunity to introduce your company to potential clients and showcase the benefits of using your products or services.
- Add “ShopPay” payments method
Adding this payment method is good not only for your customize have a wider range of choice, but also lets you to eliminate the hassle of setting up a third-party payment provider or merchant account and having to enter the credentials into Shopify. With Shopify Payments you’re automatically set up to accept all major payment methods as soon as you create your Shopify store.
- Add Instagram Feed to your homepage
You can create shoppable Instagram feeds to showcase your products and boost sales.
Besides that, adding a shoppable Instagram Shopify is also one of the most effective ways to increase the conversion rate. It allows your customers to shop right in your Instagram feed and get more sales.
-
Take the advantage of holiday season
-
Clean Up Your Savings" Sale:
Offer significant discounts on your wireless vacuum cleaners. Highlight the cost-saving benefits of cordless cleaning.
- “Early Bird Cleaning Deals” Promotion:
Provide exclusive early access to your BFCM deals for subscribers or previous customers. Encourage them to get a head start on holiday cleaning.
- “Upgrade to Cordless Cleaning” Campaign:
Promote the advantages of upgrading to a wireless vacuum cleaner. Emphasize convenience, mobility, and the absence of cords.
I hope that by following these guidelines, you may increase brand recognition, website traffic, and sales throughout your upcoming marketing efforts.
Cheers!

Hello! Thank you so much for the thoughtful and detailed review. I really appreciate your feedback, and I’ve already started working on addressing some of the points you mentioned.
Regarding the payment methods, I’d love to offer ShopPay or Shopify Payments, but unfortunately, my country doesn’t support them. As a result, I’m currently using Stripe and PayPal..
I’ve already added the ‘About Us’ page and integrating an Instagram feed after we generate little bit more content on IG..
Lastly, the holiday season strategies you mentioned sound fantastic. I’ll definitely consider implementing these promotions when we are ready for advertising.
Once again, thank you for your valuable input. Cheers!
Hello. Thank you, happy to hear it!! Website was designed all by myself! ![]()
To be honest, we have only focused on organic advertising to build up our social media presence before considering any paid ads. I haven’t heard about (“SMTP marketing”), and I must admit that my marketing skills are a work in progress.
I’m currently learning more so that I’ll be well-prepared when the time comes to launch our ads. ![]()
