On a mobile device - the ’ out of stock ’ badge on a product is all cut off and misshaped.
Its ok on a desktop. anyone know how to fix this please?

On desktop as well, when you hover over the products and the second image is shown, the “Out of Stock” label is not visible—it gets hidden beneath the image.
The issue is likely caused by the code below, which may have been added to make the product image clickable.
If you make z-index: 1;
Then the out-of-stock label is coming up properly.
In this theme, the product image is already clickable, but I think there are some changes made to the code due to which the linking stops working, and you have wrapped the product image inside the
<a></a>
