My shopify store can’t be reached on windows it indicates site can’t be reached

I have tried clearing cache and it is not working

my network is also stable I don’t understand the issue

Hi, @Stacyphyll . I’m happy to look into this with you! I just have a few questions to better understand what’s happening so that I give you helpful advice going forward.

  • When you say you can’t reach your store, do you mean that you aren’t able to view your storefront or that you’re unable to log into your Shopify admin?
  • Have you tried viewing your website from any other browsers or devices?
  • Have you double checked that you are using an up to date, supported browser? You can find a list of the supported browsers here. If you can’t update your browser due to your operating system, it might be because you’re using an older operating system that doesn’t support the most recent version of your browser.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hi @Erin_1 . I have tried logging in using other devices and they work perfectly but I can’t simply log in with my windows browser it just pops up a “this site can’t be reached” message. My browser is na upto date version and i have tried logging in with other browsers all to no avail

Hi, @Stacyphyll . Thanks for getting back to me with that information!

If your online store is working on all of your devices except one, this is likely being caused by an issue local to the device it’s not working on. That is, something relating to the browser, device or network being used. I recommend going through the following troubleshooting steps to try and get it working on that device:

  • Clear the cache and cookies on your web browser, then completely restart the browser.
  • Ensure the web browser being used is up-to-date with the latest version.
  • Ensure you’re using a browser that is supported by Shopify.
  • Ensure the web browser’s cookie settings are enabled.
  • Ensure that pop-ups are not being blocked on the web browser.
  • Try deactivating any browser extensions or add-ons.
  • Try another internet connection (for example, switching to a cellular network on a phone, rather than WiFi).
  • Ensure there are no firewalls or VPNs enabled on the device or network. If using a VPN, try setting it to another location.

In some cases older operating systems don’t support the most recent versions of browsers so it may be caused by this if you’re using an older operating system. In this case you would want to consider updating your operating system or device.
