My Shopify store has been duplicated on another domain

My store - www.probearingtools.com

I am finding my store duplicated onto the domain - www.ruleonly.com It is the same store and content and I believe that it has processed orders that I have received. How in the world has someone duplicated my store on another domain. I even find it replace my organic position on search results.

How do I get this taken down? The domain ruleonly.com is registered in China.

I am very sorry to hear about this situation with your store being duplicated like that by a third party. In this situation I would recommend reporting the store through this link and making a DMCA takedown report with our Trust and Safety team: Shopify DMCA Notice and Takedown Procedure.

To add to my response here, I took a look at the domain registration information through www.whois.com. It looks like this domain is hosted through Godaddy and can also be reported to them using this contact information -

Did you have any luck resolving this? The same thing has happened to a store I work on - an exact replica of the website. Unfortunately, when I followed @Shay 's recommended steps above, I received the following response from Shopify’s legal team:

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, we are unable to take any action as the reported content does not appear to be hosted by Shopify:

  • Shopify Trust & Safety

Surely it must be a concern to Shopify that their client’s websites are being replicated so convincingly? And that people could be scammed as a result, believing that they are on a site belonging to their platform? When I asked them this, I received no reply. We’re in the process of filing a complaint with the spam domain’s hosting company but aren’t getting anywhere fast!
