Hi, I’m new to shopify and soon to go live 
. Support are supposed to be showing me how to list my web app (they haven’t been able to help so far) and then I can proceed but, in the meantime, I was wondering how to show a ‘proper’ url for the shop name rather than fygf.myshopify.com as I will move on to advertising it. Any help is appreciated as I’m completely new to this?

To display your shop’s URL as a ‘proper’ name instead of the default myshopify.com URL, you can add a custom domain to your Shopify store.
You can buy a domain from Shopify in Settings > Domain.
If you have had any domain before, you can connect it with a third-party app.

The dots are slowly connecting as I am so new to this… I have bought 2 domain names in the past (to protect the brand) but never actually used the websites. I shall look into whether I can use either of the 2 so that my store appears as more than just a number and letter jumble!
