In regards to your video not playing in mobile mode on the narrative theme, this is actually expected on the mobile view. Starting in April 2018, Google Chrome, by default disabled autoplay on videos that have sound. This article explains more about that change if you wanted to take a closer look. Even without that change, it’s not always best to expect that autoplay will work on all devices and browsers. This article from a Shopify Expert explains, there are a lot of ways for people to disable autoplay in their devices/browsers.
Autoplay videos can also potentially have a negative impact on accessibility, as this can cause discomfort, or even pain, for some users who are sensitive to movement or sound. By ensuring that the customer has control over the video playback, a site is more accessible to a wider audience.
You may be able to circumvent this by reaching out to a local developer or a Shopify expert, however, I would recommend considering the above information to ensure you have your store set up optimally for all your potential customers.
