Need a Clean, Conditional Logic Bundle App That Syncs SKUs – Already Tried the Usuals

Looking for a clean, conditional logic-based bundling app for Shopify (already tried the usual suspects)

Hey everyone—hoping to get some insight from devs or power users who’ve built something a little more advanced.

We’re on Shopify Plus, and we’ve already gone deep researching bundle and kitting apps. What we haven’t found is something that lets us create a clean, simple product page that combines multiple SKUs while syncing all inventory with the base products without making the customer do a bunch of extra clicking.

What we need:

We want to build “kits” that use our existing SKUs. For example, we have a base product (like our Cummerbund product) with variants like size and color. Based on what the customer selects (say, Size 1 and camo color), the other three SKUs in the bundle need to automatically populate with the correct matching variants. No customer input—just one clean selection drives the rest.

Think of it like:

  • Customer selects Size 1 + camo color on the main product

  • The other three products in the kit are locked to that selection

  • We show the customer what’s included, but they can’t change it

  • All SKUs pull from our real-time inventory

  • And the product page stays clean, not a long scroll of dropdowns

We don’t want the typical “build your bundle” UI that makes the page feel like a quiz. It needs to be elegant and seamless, ideally looking like a regular product page with maybe a summary of what’s included—but not forcing multiple dropdowns.

Bonus if:

  • You’ve made something like this with conditional logic

  • You know a way to combine apps to get this working

  • You’ve seen examples in the wild of stores doing this well

I’ll attach a mockup to help visualize it better and see the link below:

Thanks in advance—appreciate anything from real-world experience or custom builds. We’ve probably already tested what you’re about to recommend unless it’s niche or newer, so please read carefully!

Hey John,

I would do the following:

  1. Create a dedicated product page that acts like the bundle container with Color and Size options.
  2. Create a metafield that stores all products/items included in the bundle
  3. Update the product form logic.

The logic would be as follows:
Based on the metafield, we will render and hide the product form for all products.

When the user selects a color or size, all product forms will be updated behind the scenes to match this selection.

When clicking the add to cart button, we will add the selected variants in the hidden product forms instead of the current variant.

This way you will have:

  1. Full control over your bundle logic and no need for any app.
  2. SKUs are linked to your real products directly.
  3. Great user experience.

For reference, I have created a bundle product page for a client, but using different logic. It will give you an idea about adding multi-product forms on the same product page.

Hope that helps!

Hey @JohnSmith2 ,

I completely understand what you’re aiming for—and you’re right, most bundle apps don’t quite meet the mark when it comes to a clean, logic-based experience with real-time inventory syncing.

What you’re describing is more of a dynamic, logic-driven product configuration system than a traditional bundle builder—and that’s where custom development really shines.

I’ve worked on similar builds where:

  • A single selection (like size and color) dynamically drives the rest of the bundle

  • Other bundled SKUs are auto-selected using conditional logic

  • Everything syncs with real inventory, using existing SKUs

  • The UI stays clean—no overwhelming dropdowns or “quiz-style” bundle flows

  • A clear, locked-in bundle summary is displayed to the customer

This type of experience is ideal for Shopify Plus and can be implemented either as a custom app or advanced theme integration, tailored to your storefront’s style and workflow.

Hi @JohnSmith2

In this case, Easify Inventory Sync will automatically sync inventory across your products and bundles, ensuring real-time stock updates without the need for extra steps or complexity. It’s a simple, no coding, efficient solution to manage your inventory seamlessly. Here’s how it works:

1. Create your clothes set product with color (camo, plain) and size variant (S,M,L)

2. Set Up Bundle Groups: Use the app to create Bundle groups that connect your bundle product with your single items (shirt, jacket, pants). Here’s how to set up a bundle group for your product:

  • Master Product: Camo-M variant
  • Component Product: Camo-M shirt with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1
  • Component Product: Camo-M jacket with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1
  • Component Product: Camo-M pants with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1

Do the same with other variants.

3. How It Works:

  • The inventory for your variants will be automatically calculated based on the single product’s inventory.
  • When one ‘Camo-M’ set is purchased, the inventory of single items will be reduced by 1. The app will then recalculate the available quantities for your variants based on the updated single product inventory, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.

If you do this, your customers won’t have to choose the products in the bundle, and you’ll be able to manage your inventory effectively. If you want to show the bundle products on the product page, you can use the description section in Shopify. This app is straightforward, and I believe it will work well for you. Hi

You can just set up native Shopify bundles and Shopify will update your inventory levels automatically based on quantities of components. If you just use an inventory update app usually the bundle SKU will be the only one on order. Using native shopify bundles all the components show up as individual order lines and thus this updates your inventory correctly post purchase and allows correct fulfillment.

The current Shopify bundle app only lets you create new bundles so we created a new bundle app that does native bundles on existing variants called Bundle Sync. The app lets you specify what components you would like on your bundles and we then add the components directly to your products. No need to create new products and all inventory is then managed directly by Shopify so no chance of an app not updating correctly.

The buyer will see the component during checkout as per below but they cannot edit them.

If you need help in setting up a test bundle just get in touch.

Thanks

Jay

**Hi @JohnSmith2 **

I totally get the frustration of sifting through countless bundling apps only to find they don’t quite hit the mark for what you’re envisioning—especially when you’re aiming for that clean, seamless product page experience. Your mockup and detailed requirements really paint a clear picture of what you’re after, and I’m excited to share that the Profit Bundles & Mystery Boxes app by Profit Labs might be the elegant solution you’ve been searching for!

Here’s why I think it aligns so well with your needs:

No Quiz-Like “Build Your Bundle” UI: Unlike those typical apps that turn the product page into step-wise quiz, Profit Bundles keeps it simple and polished. You can create a kit—like your Cummerbund example—where the customer just selects the main product’s variants (e.g., Size 1, camo color), and the app automatically populates the other SKUs in the bundle with the matching variants. No extra clicking or customer input needed, keeping the page clean and intuitive, just like a regular product page.

Conditional Logic for Seamless Variant Matching: The app supports conditional logic to lock the child SKUs to the customer’s selection on the main product. So, when someone picks Size 1 and camo, the other three products in the kit are automatically set to their corresponding variants—no fuss, no scrolling through endless options. It’s all handled behind the scenes for a smooth experience.

Showcase Child Items with Metafields: App adds the composition of the bundle that is the details of the child items and the quantity as metafields on the corresponding product variant and you can use these metafields to display the bundle’s child items right on the product page, giving customers a clear summary of what’s included without overwhelming them. This keeps the presentation sleek and professional, exactly as you described, with the option to highlight what’s in the kit in a way that feels cohesive with your brand.

Real-Time Inventory Sync: The app syncs all SKUs in the bundle with your real-time inventory, so you never have to worry about overselling. It “explodes” the bundle into individual SKUs for fulfillment, ensuring everything stays accurate and streamlined, whether you’re using in-house or 3PL solutions.

Bonus Perks: Profit Bundles has more tha 50 five stars reviews , so it’s robust, mature and flexible for advanced use cases. It also offers 1-on-1 onboarding and 24-hour resolution support, which can be a lifesaver for getting everything set up just right. Plus, it integrates with upsell funnels and other platforms, giving you room to grow.

I can imagine how much time and effort you’ve already put into testing apps that didn’t quite deliver, so I hope this feels like a breath of fresh air! Profit Bundles & Mystery Boxes is designed to make bundling feel effortless while keeping your product pages looking sharp and professional. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can find it on the Shopify App Store here to explore or reach out to their support team for a demo tailored to your setup.

Please re-read my request. Does your app offer conditional logic so we can setup the different variants for the rest of the included products based on the primary product in the bundle?

Thank you for responding, however we are on shopify plus and there is NO way I’m paying you 2% of every bundle sale. I can hire a Shopify dev to make me what I need for what we would pay you in six months or less. Please stop with these predatory pricing tactics. Several of us are small businesses that cannot afford these ridiculous charges for apps for a monthly fee and then you ask for more money from our sales. It’s bad enough that shopify takes so much.

Hi

What you describe is for each variant to be a set of products that you define so there is no conditional logic required.

With Shopify introducing native bundles you simply assign the components for each variant and Shopify handles the rest by:

  1. Showing the buyer what the bundle contains during checkout. Cannot be edited.
  2. When the order lands in admin it will contains order lines which are the components of the bundle.
  3. Inventory of bundles Shopify automatically calculates based on stock of components.

In your case a size small with color camo would be predefined by yourself to include a set of components.

So the variant of Small/Camo would contain for example:

  • SKU1 x 2
  • SKU2 x 1
  • SKU3 x 1
  • SKU4 x 2

The SKUs can be variants of other products. If the variant itself needs to be added you may need to consider how you manage it. You may want to leave it as it’s own product and then add it to the bundled version.

You do this for all your variants. We have a bulk csv method to set this up as quicker to do a large number of products/variants.
Once set up in our app you then trigger the components to be set up on Shopify. And you can always remove them from your Shopify products. Best to test on one variant to see how Shopify does it.

The styling of your product page will be however you set up the description. We don’t touch any theme code.

Regards

Sam

I’m not having luck with your app to get this to work. How can I setup a hero/master product and slave 3 products to it based on the selections of the master’s variant selection (Size and color)? How do I setup the conditional logic and rules to do this in your app?

Hi

Email us the details of the SKUs to support@mysync.io and we can get the product set up and after this you’ll have a csv template to then update and work with so much quicker especially with lots of variants.

Honestly, I was in the same spot a few months ago. Most bundle apps looked good on the app store, but once you tried doing anything conditional (variants, quantity rules, free gifts, cart-based logic), they either broke or got messy fast.

What ended up working for us was Wizio Product Bundle & Upsell.

The reason I stuck with it is the rule-based logic. You can control when a bundle shows, how discounts apply (quantity breaks, volume pricing, BOGO, buy X get Y), and even trigger offers based on what’s already in the cart — without touching code.

A few things that stood out for me:

  • Handles variant-level bundles properly (not just simple products)

  • Supports conditional discounts like “buy more, save more” and free gifts

  • Lets you combine bundles + upsells inside the cart drawer, which actually converts better than product-page-only bundles

  • Clean UI and works well with OS 2.0 themes and builders like PageFly/GemPages

  • Doesn’t mess with checkout or existing discount codes

We’re using it for FBT, quantity breaks, and a couple of build-a-box style offers, and it’s been stable so far.

If you’re specifically looking for something logic-driven but not over-engineered, it’s worth testing. I’d recommend setting up one bundle first and checking how it behaves in the cart — that’s where a lot of apps fall apart.

Hope that helps.

Hi @JohnSmith2,

From your mockup image, I don’t see how the customers can select the base product. How do customers select it?

I’m not sure if you tried my app, BYOB - Build Your Own Bundles. We’ve just released a new Guided Bundle feature, where the available options are shown based on what customers select in the previous step. We can also support jumping over to skip a step. Not sure if it’s something you’re looking for.

Here’s a sample bundle you can try on the demo store. This is the announcement on our product blog.

Feel free to contact us for a quick chat! Currently, we are learning from various possible use cases.
