Can anyone suggest an appropriate theme?

What I’d like to do is have a News/Current events section on the from page and a section below that will list all of the Supreme Court citations we have gotten with our books. The Citations are short paragraph synopses. There will be about 90 citations we want to make available, though we don’t have to display all of them at once on the front page.
So what I need is a sales site theme with only a few books and seminar listings for sale, but with a front page that will allow for some news and info. I’m hoping to find a theme that will not make me code the news page manually. Any theme suggestions?

If you already have a design, such as a Figma file, I’d recommend the free Horizon theme. It’s flexible and gives you a good foundation for this type of store.
You may not find every section you need exactly as shown in your design, but that’s not a problem. We can create custom sections based on your Figma design and match the design closely.
For your requirements—seminars, a small number of products, News/Current Events, and Supreme Court citations—Horizon should work well without needing to manually code the entire News page.

Hi! Searching for a theme’s pre-built section for managing 90 supreme citations alongside news updates in a homepage can lead to cluttered layout, slow speed or messy management in the customizer. The best solution could be custom Drag and Drop Liquid section. I can understand your fear, you might be thinking you need to manage by this way but a well structure custom section would give you full flexible to customize as per the logic you want to have.

For your setup, Broadcast or Publisher are both built for content + a few products easy News section, no coding needed.
For the 90 citations though, I’d skip using a blog (it sorts by date, and these aren’t really “news”). Instead use Shopify’s built-in Metaobjects set up a simple “Citation” template once, add all 90, and most themes let you display them on your homepage without any coding.
Hey @carlsononevidence, any Online Store 2.0 theme handles this already, so pick on looks and leave the structure to Shopify’s blogs. You can run more than one blog: Content > Blog posts > Manage blogs > Add blog, so make one called News and a second called Citations. Each blog gets its own listing page, so all 90 synopses live there without you coding a page, and on the homepage you add the theme’s blog posts section and point it at News to pull just the latest few. Add a test post to Citations and confirm it shows on the citations listing while the homepage still only pulls News.
