so basically can i have a shopify but only accept orders threw email or by phone call so i can tell them how long it will take ?

Hi, @Grpstyling . I’m happy to help you out with this! Can you tell me more about your business and the flow you’d like your customers to go through to place their orders? Also which theme are you currently using?

It’s definitely possible to only accept orders over email or phone. Since you’d like to put orders through yourself, I recommend doing this using draft orders. This would allow you to create the order on your end through your Shopify admin rather than having the customer create the order through your online store. You can find more information about using draft orders here.

To prevent customers from checking out directly on your online store I recommend removing your ‘Add to cart’ and dynamic checkout buttons from your pages so customers won’t be able to get to the checkout without contacting you. If you’re using an Online Store 2.0 theme you can typically remove your ‘Add to cart’ and dynamic checkout buttons within your theme editor. To do this go to Online store > Themes and click Customize next to the theme you want to edit. From there, select your Default product template and click the Product information section to open the settings for that section. Here, you will find the Buy buttons block which you can remove by selecting the block and clicking Remove block. You can see an example of these steps below.

In this case, I’d also recommend you add a contact form to your product pages so that customers can contact you about their orders directly from your online store. This guide on using sections and blocks to customize themes can help you do this. If you’re interested in doing this, you may also want to use the Shopify forms app. You can learn more about the Shopify Forms app here.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hi thanks for reply i went on live cheat to ask someone they told me my website would eventually be removed for not having any cash flow going threw it?

Only been playing about with the free version at moment but if this is the case be no good for me

Hi, @Grpstyling . Thank you for your reply. Did you speak with our support team through our Help Centre here?

I wouldn’t be able to comment on what you were told as there may be more context to what they were saying. That being said, stores are not closed for not having enough cash flow. As long as you’re paying your Shopify bill your account will remain open.

If you have more questions about this, please let me know!

You can definitely set up a Shopify store without online payments. You can use it essentially as a digital catalog, showcasing your products. In your product descriptions and “Contact Us” section, you can specify that orders are accepted only via email or phone calls.

Speaking of phone calls, have you thought about streamlining how you handle them? A call transferring system might be beneficial for managing incoming orders or inquiries, making it easier to tell customers about the delivery timelines. You might want to check out https://www.mightycall.com/features/call-transfer/; it offers a lot of useful tools for this purpose.

Wishing you all the best with your venture! Would love to hear how it goes.
