Need an app that supports CSV upload to manage product options

Hello.

We are looking for a Shopify app that allows managing product options through CSV upload. We have tested out many that allow uploading product options, but are not able to add/update/hide/remove options without deleting and re-creating/uploading the options each time.

Our current site is on a different platform and we would like to move to Shopify, but we have not been able to find a solution for managing product options. We update options multiple times daily on our current site.

Hi there,

I think the app Matrixify will do the trick for you.

Hi @PDN42 :waving_hand:

  • For purely spreadsheet based workflows see ez-exporter by highview (it imports too), or matrixify etc etc etc.
  • This can also be a matter of investing in setting up excel/googlesheet with macros,functions, scripts etc to update rows in a general product.csv for importing.
  • Or use a middleware automation app to script custom tasks such as with the use-mechanic app https://tasks.mechanic.dev/ , https://learn.mechanic.dev/
  • For really bespoke scenarios make a custom-app

Hi Thom, Matrixify only works with built-in product options. We are using Hulk for our product options and conditions, which Matrixify is not able export.

Are there any other apps or what is the best solution?

@PDN42 there are actual productOptions in the shopify API, or completely arbitrary data an app presents like it’s a productOption such as for use as line-item-properties or cart attributes.

If a third party app is involved and that app has no api then how could any fourth party app build automations against that.

Make sure you know the difference in how a third party app operates in your business or you’r easking fundamentally flawed questions.

And that specific difference is communicate upfront when seeking solutions.

@PaulNewton I just sent you a DM.
