Need assistance with changing canonical tags on Shopify

I am having a problem while changing canonical tags

Product page: https://matural.in/products/matural-tea-tree-face-wash-for-men

Canonical tag:

Variant Page: https://matural.in/products/copy-of-matural-tea-tree-green-tea-facewash-for-men-for-acne-oily-skin-100-ml

Canonical Tag:

I want the variant page and product page canonical tags should be the same to avoid the duplication of content, but Shopify is not allowing me to do the same. I tried to replace the canonical tag of the variant page but when I save the changes, the canonical tags URL is replaced with some other URL like: https://matural.in/products/matural-tea-tree-face-wash-for-men-1

Kindly help me with this…

In order to resolve your issue with cannonical tags, you may need to edit the liquid files for your product and also variant pages.

Make sure that both files are using the proper URL variable for that cannonical tag. If you are not familiar with liquid coding, you may need to consider hiring a Shopify developer or contact Shopify Customer support. They can assist you in setting up consisteng cannonical tags to avoid duplicate your content.
