Need feedback on my store's theme and layout for a professional look

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on the layout of my store and I’ve chosen a theme to represent my brand. I have also just updated my profile avatar to match the store’s design.

I would love to get some feedback from the community:

  1. Does the theme look mobile-friendly?

  2. Is the layout easy to navigate for new customers?

  3. Are there any specific theme customisations you recommend for a new merchant?

I want to make sure the design side of my shop is perfect before I start heavy marketing. Thank you for your help!

Hi @Nyra_Asian_Bakery

I took a look at your store, and overall, it looks really clean and visually appealing. The product images are great and give a nice, premium, homemade feel, which works really well for a bakery brand.

That said, I think there are a few areas where you could improve the experience and potentially increase conversions:

  • Homepage: Right now, it feels more like a catalog. You could add a short “why choose us” section (e.g., handmade, authentic recipes, freshly baked) to build trust and give customers a reason to buy.
  • Navigation: “Catalog” is a bit generic. It might be better to rename it to something like “Shop” or break it into categories like cookies, buns, etc.
  • Hero section: The main banner looks good, but the text is a bit long and the “Shop all” button doesn’t stand out much. A shorter message with a stronger button would help.
  • Product pages: The descriptions are informative, but slightly dense. You could start with a few quick bullet points and make the pre-order message sound more positive (e.g., “freshly made to order”).
  • Product images: One thing I noticed is that the product images are not all the same size/aspect ratio, which makes the grid look slightly uneven. Keeping them consistent would make the store feel more polished.
  • Mobile UX issue: On mobile, the chat icon overlaps the sticky “Add to cart” button, which can make it harder to buy. Adjusting its position would fix this.
  • Trust & conversion elements: Consider adding things like customer reviews, best-seller labels, or small urgency cues (like limited batches or fresh daily baking).

Overall, you’re on the right track. The design and branding are solid. With a few tweaks focused on clarity and trust, it could perform much better.

Hope this helps!

Hi @eva_greene,

For a more professional Shopify layout, I would review the store in three layers:

1. First impression

Is the homepage clear within the first few seconds? Visitors should quickly understand what you sell and why they should trust the store.

2. Product page quality

Check product titles, descriptions, images, variants, size details, shipping/returns information, and trust elements.

3. Technical/store health

Make sure the store is not carrying slow scripts, oversized images, old app code, or missing product content.

Design matters, but a professional-looking store also needs clean product content, mobile usability, and a simple buying flow.

Once you are close to launch, I would recommend doing a basic QA pass on mobile, product pages, cart, checkout, discounts, and page speed.

If you share the store URL and what kind of feedback you want most, people here can give more specific suggestions.

As a final cleanup step before you start sending traffic, Checkpoint: Store Scanner can help check for leftover app code, slow scripts, unused metafields, large files, product content gaps, and discount issues.
