I’m a new store owner and need some help with my product set-ups.
I sell shoes, and sell both new and preowneds of the same shoe. The new shoes are available in different sizes and I’m able to have multiple pairs of the same size in my inventory. So, I set up sizes as an option and I have my variants. Easy so far!
But I also sell some preowned versions of the same shoes and obviously, preowned shoes are in varying conditions, e.g, ‘excellent’, ‘good’. Customers also like to see the pictures of each preowned shoe to gauge condition.
I don’t like the inefficiencies of creating a new product for each preowned item and would really like to have the individual shoes selectable from within the customer option picker section of the product page. There could be multiple pre-owned shoes available for each new shoe, all in different conditions.
Example of what I’d like:
Customer sees a new shoe they like.
Customer clicks on product.
Customer sees new shoe but also sees the pre-owned shoes as different options
If customer clicks on any of the different pre-owned shoe options they see that pre-owned shoes photos and description.
Customer can buy that shoe and that shoe option is removed from the product page.
I did think about adding the preowned versions as variant options themselves, all with own photos (e.g option 1 - excellent condition, option 2 - excellent condition, option 3 - good condition, option 4 - averaged condition) etc but it would create loads and loads of variants that would mostly be unused.
Any ideas on how I can achieve this? I’m able to pay for an app that would do it if necessary.

Bundle Kit bundles are built on top of normal Shopify products and Shopify supports up to 3 variant options and 100 variants per product, therefore, for your example, you will first need to create a dummy bundle product in Shopify.
Under ‘Options’, you can do the following:
Option name 1: Condition
Option values: all variants (Brand New, Excellent Condition, Good Condition, etc.)
Option name 2: Size (or anything else, you may skip this if you don’t need an additional variant option)
I think you might have a misconception about the product option and variants. You should not set the options like option 1 - excellent condition, option 2 - excellent condition, option 3 - good condition, option 4 - averaged condition. Instead, you should add a product option of condition, the option values are good, excellent, average or 80% new, 90% new, 100% new, etc. The variants will not be “wasted” as well.
While a solution has already been suggested, I’d like to propose a specific approach that you can consider if you encounter a similar issue in the future. This solution involves using the Easify Product Options app, which can help streamline the process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to assist you :
Create a New product for your shoes, complete with its own size variants (e.g.: 40, 40.5, 41).
Create a separate product for your Preowned shoes, featuring its own condition variants (e.g.: excellent, good, average).
Establish a Main shoes product with no options included at this stage. This main product will later encompass both new and preowned shoe options.
Install the Easify Product Options app and create a new option set:
Add an option for choosing the Size, but only display this option if customers select New shoes. Utilize the Buttons option type and employ conditional logic so that the size options only appear when the New condition is selected. Add the existing new shoe variants to each option value.
Add an option for selecting the Preowned shoe condition, but again, make sure this option only appears if customers select Preowned shoes. Use the Image Swatches option type and conditional logic to achieve this. Add the existing preowned shoe variants to each option value.
