Need help creating a static header bar with multiple messages (Dawn theme)

Hi everyone,

I’m using the Dawn theme and I’m trying to customize my header / announcement bar.

Right now I have 3 announcement messages that rotate (slider):

Alles uit eigen voorraad
Gratis verzending vanaf €25
Verzending na 1 à 2 werkdagen

What I want instead is a static header bar (no slider, no scrolling) that looks like the attached screenshot:

• Multiple short messages

• Displayed in one line

• With icons in front of each message

• Similar to a “USP bar” above the main navigation

I already tried editing announcement-bar.liquid, but I couldn’t get the layout working properly in Dawn.

My questions:

• Is this best done by modifying the existing announcement bar?

• Or should this be a custom section/snippet?

• Does anyone have an example or guide for creating a static multi-item header bar in Dawn?

You are on the right direction. You should need to create a section. But one thing you might missing with that, must be adding this section in the Header Group or due to less experience in coding leads you to leave this task.

In that case whether you need to hire the Shopify Developer to create this section or you need to get help from SideKick. It’s way more useful.

You can try to use a free announcement bar app, for example, this one, Annify Announcement Bar

No it’s not more useful to hire a developer, I just did it myself with AI and have limited experience with coding. If anyone wants to do this, I highly recommend Copilot.
