Hi, @Kaykay1 .
Welcome to the Shopify Community. We hope you’re enjoying the platform so far.
As, @GarrettLamb and @jefflhlow have mentioned, we’d like to learn a bit more on what you’re working on and what type of business you’d like to start.
When getting started with Shopify, I recommend checking out our Intro to Shopify resource that gives a detailed overview of how the free trial works, our pricing plans, how to hire help and much more.
If you’re in the process of deciding on what you’d like to sell, we have a Shopify Blog resource to help you narrow down ideas to find your business niche. Your niche can help you break down the following:
- Price (e.g. luxury, moderate, discount)
- Level of quality (premium, handmade, economical)
- Geographics (residents of a certain country, city, or even neighbourhood)
- Demographics (gender, age, income level, education level)
- Psychographics (values, interests, attitudes)
We have a helpful New to Shopify Checklist that can guide you during the store setup process. You’ll want to ensure you’ve set up important areas of your store such as:
- Naming your store and setting your legal business name.
- Entering your business address.
- Adding your store policies.
- Enabling your shipping settings.
- Setting up your payment gateways.
Lastly, I encourage you to check out our Shopify Learn course on how to choose the right theme for your business. We offer a wide variety of themes in the Shopify Theme store. You can search for specific themes in the search bar to find the perfect theme for your store.
I look forward to hearing back and learning more about what you’re currently working on.
