Hi everyone! I’m working on customizing the Empire theme and could really use some help with three layout challenges:
-
I’d like to remove the large search bar and keep only a smaller search icon but can’t seem to figure out how to do it. I’d appreciate any guidance on hiding the big search bar without affecting the rest of the header.
-
I’m having trouble with my logo setup. When I upload it, the header height increases significantly, and the logo itself becomes very small. I’d love some advice on keeping the header height consistent and displaying the logo at a better size.
-
Finally, I’m struggling with the mobile and desktop view. The layout looks good on desktop but isn’t fully optimized, and on mobile, it’s a bit out of alignment. How can I make sure the template displays correctly on both devices?
Please Help Me…Thank you in Advance.

To address the challenges you’re facing with the large search bar, logo size, and layout responsiveness, these adjustments will require updates directly in the theme’s Liquid code. Specifically:
-
Search Bar: To hide the large search bar and retain a smaller search icon without impacting the rest of the header layout, a code modification is necessary within the Liquid files.
-
Logo and Header Height: Ensuring a balanced header height while displaying the logo at an optimal size will also involve refining the CSS and possibly modifying the Liquid structure for the header.
-
Responsive Layout: Adjustments to improve the alignment and ensure the template displays correctly on both desktop and mobile views will require changes in the theme’s code to achieve a consistent look across all devices.
To proceed with these modifications, I’ll need access to collaborate on your Shopify store. Once approved, I can implement the necessary code updates to achieve the layout you’re envisioning.
Please let me know if you’d like to move forward, and I’ll be ready to get started.
