Hi i am someone who has no Experience with coding. I need some basic help in making a robot.txt . i have watch many videos all of them show a + templated button in the coding editor of dawn theme.
right now i have a headache and hopping somone can help me

Absolutely 100% positive. By default, it has all necessary things that search engines require. It’s already set up for you. No matter what you’ve been told, no matter how convincing they were, DO NOT ALTER IT.
Like @Maximus3 said, you have it already, and you do not need to alter it or add code for any reason. Like 95% maybe, just a guess, of all Shopify stores use that default robot.txt and it is quite fine.
If for some legitimate reason, you do want to have a custom one

What probably confuses you is that those videos on YouTube have old code editor. Now it is different, and you can create a new file by click bellow all folders, so none is selected, and then click on the new file icon
So you have been warned, and know there are a lot of people who will say “your products are blocked, with this code you will get great sales.” That is false, and can cause some issues to your store.
