Can anyone tell me how to add more images and get an actual slideshow on the Ella 7 theme? Within the settings for the slideshow it has carousel settings, and I’m able to add an image for the background, but I can’t figure out how to get an actual slideshow of multiple images. If I add a block anywhere it just adds a blank block over everything (which makes sense). If I duplicate the block is adds it as another block under the original. Where can I add multiple images for a slideshow? Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like you’re adding ‘Content Blocks’ inside a single slide rather than adding new ‘Slide Blocks’ to the section. In Ella 7, go to the Slideshow section in your theme customizer. Scroll to the very bottom of that section’s settings in the left sidebar and look for ‘+ Add Slide’.
Also, check the main Slideshow Settings (click the section header) and make sure the ‘Layout’ is set to ‘Slider’. If it’s set to ‘Grid,’ your slides will just stack on top of each other instead of sliding.

Ella’s slideshow works by adding multiple slide blocks inside one slideshow section. Each block is a separate image.
Use Add block inside the slideshow section not duplicate or add new sections.
Once you have 2+ blocks the carousel settings will activate the slideshow.
