my business is based in Sweden and I am trying to integrate swish as payment option.
I found a few external providers that supports swish and I have 2 questions:
Which one would you recommend?
In the checkout page, when an external payment provider is selected (i.e. klarna or swish) a dialog box is displayed to inform the customer that will be redirected to the payment provider page. Does someone know if it is possible to remove this dialog box?
Hi, @MaBa and @cemberku . I won’t have information on the best external provider to use, but I can share more information on customizing the checkout. As mentioned, there are some customization options you have for the Shopify checkout. You can learn about them here. It’s not possible to edit the checkout beyond what’s explained in that guide. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend removing the dialog box explaining to customers that the page will be redirected to another page to complete the payment. This note can prevent confusion and provide clarity to your customers on the next steps of the payment process.
I will only have information on Shopify and Shopify features, like Shopify Payments. For more help with Klarna, Swish, and Apple Pay you would need to speak with them directly to get more information on the requirements to use them.
As a Swedish merchant on the Basic plan, I find it unreasonable that Swish – the most widely used payment method in Sweden – is locked behind Shopify Plus. Swish is not a premium feature, it’s a basic necessity for selling to Swedish customers. Requiring a $2,300+/month plan just to accept the most common local payment method puts small businesses at a serious disadvantage. Please make Swish available on all Shopify plans for stores based in Sweden.
