URGENT!!! PLEASE HELP!!!
What do I need to do to have Shopify correct my EIN number and make sure they send the proper forms to the IRS??? I have been waiting 2 months now for them to correct this simple issue… What do I do???
Details of my situation:
Our company transitioned from an LLC to an S-CORP on 6/4/2021 giving us a new EIN/ Tax ID number.
I need two 1099-k forms (one for my LLC and one for my S-Corp) from Shopify to file my taxes. I have no clue what their status is on correcting this simple issue.
Shopify does not allow one to change their EIN number on the users end. When I changed bank accounts they should have prompted me for an updated EIN number… Please update this or add this feature to Shopify.

I am in the same position! I bought this company with an existing Shopify store and it never gave me the option to change my EIN over to my info instead of the old owner’s. Now she’s getting big tax bills and getting in trouble from the IRS because they’ve sent incorrect 1099-K forms for two years. I NEED to get this fixed so she doesn’t have to pay for something that I’ve already paid! I’ve contacted support twice and it was always a kind, but non-USA based representative that had no clue what I was talking about and sent my ticket to the Tax department. Shopify: this needs to be easier to fix. Send help!

I also need my Tax ID# updated. Were you able to contact anybody at Shopify to help you? I cannot find a number or even get anyone on the Chat! What happened to Shopify’s awesome Customer service department?
