Hello everyone,

My shop is selling digital download and I am an UK seller. After Brexit, I won’t be able to sell digital product to Europe due to digital VAT. I need a practical options to block customers from Europe. Does anyone know how to do so? Please help.

I supposed there are direct and indirect way for anyone outside of UK to really order from your store.

On a directly perspective, you can block them through some app perhaps.

On an indirectly perspective, people can use VPN(Virtual Private Network) which disguised their location and purchasing from your store.

Perhaps the only way to do so will be upon making payment through credit card, check the credit card country like in binlist.net

In another word, instead of blocking them, why not knowing them and perhaps you can setup a store for europe serving them?

If I understand your problem well, you want to block many countries from ordering on your store, so this can be done with an app from the Shopify app store.

Personally, I’m using an app called Securify, it allows me to block countries, IPs and VPN, it took me 1 minutes to set up and block, it’s around 4$/month. They also have a free plan

You could try Ultimate Country Blocker. You can block any country from the EU and others from visiting your website. The block also carries over to the checkout. There is a visitor log for you to monitor incoming traffic.
