I started running Facebook ads to my store, but ATC rate is really low and still no sales:(
Can you please give an advice or just share your opinion about my store. I’d apreciate it so much
My main product: https://bloominyou.myshopify.com/products/whitening-cream-for-sensitive-areas
Topic summary
A store owner is struggling with low add-to-cart (ATC) rates and zero sales despite running Facebook ads for a whitening cream for sensitive areas.
Key Issues Identified:
- Trust & credibility concerns: Using a “.myshopify.com” domain instead of a branded domain raises authenticity questions. The store claims endorsements (“British Vogue”) without providing links or proof.
- Pricing competitiveness: The product is available elsewhere at half the price on more established sites.
- Product presentation: Images are somewhat blurry, and content focuses heavily on armpits rather than showcasing diverse use cases. Missing video tutorials, ingredient details, and authentic customer testimonials.
- Lack of trust signals: Need for certifications, trust badges, doctor recommendations, and genuine reviews (current reviews appear questionable).
Recommendations Provided:
- Create a dedicated landing page for ad traffic
- Add diverse media (videos, ingredient breakdowns, real customer feedback)
- Secure a custom domain and display trust badges/certifications
- Write educational blog content demonstrating product benefits
- Prepare for upcoming seasonal sales events (Halloween, Black Friday, Christmas)
- Add holiday-themed elements and animations to improve engagement
- Ensure consistent font sizing throughout the site
The discussion remains open with no resolution yet.
It’s screen care product. It’s a common issue that people will not buy products until you get trust.
From my experience I can say
- Write blogs about how your product solve customer problems. Show doctors recommendations and side effects.
- Gather some video testimonials where customers use it and give good feedback.
Don’t waste money on ad you won’t get sales like this.
Do a competitor research it will fetch sales for sure.
I am no expert at e-commerce or design, but thats what I notice from a customer pov:
-
I can get the same product on websides I know and trust for half the price
-
British Vogue isnt talking about you. So a) dont pretend or b) link to a vogue article
-
Your Dermatologist recommends “Skinsoul Underarm Whitening Cream” Whats that? You sell something different…?
-
All of your product pages talk about the cream
Im not a fan of fake reviews, but at least yours decent.
Some pictures are a bit blurry but I really like the overall design!
Hi @KaterynaB ,
I’m Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder ![]()
Your product page looks amazing! However, since you’re running ads for this whitening cream, I’d recommend creating a dedicated landing page for it.
As for your product page, you’ve clearly put in a lot of hard work, and it seems quite solid. However, I have a few minor suggestions that could help you further optimize it.
1. More diverse media files
Since this is a whitening cream for sensitive areas, you might consider providing a more diverse range of images and feedback, rather than focusing solely on armpit-related content.
As this is a cosmetic product, it would be more appealing to visitors if you provided video tutorials, reviews, or a detailed look at the cream’s ingredients.
2. Increase your brand credibility
- Get a branded and unique domain name: I noticed that your store is using a “.myshopify.com” domain. This could make visitors question the authenticity of your brand or store. When they’re confused, the chances of them making a purchase are slim. I’d recommend acquiring a unique domain for your store.
- Add some trust badges to your product page and brand: Has your product received any certifications that could better establish its quality and credibility? If so, make sure this information is visible to visitors. Since this is a skincare product, it’s crucial to provide proof of its validity.
3. Uneven font size/type
Make sure to keep your font types and sizes consistent throughout the site.
4. Get prepared for up-coming events
Halloween, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, … are coming, make sure you are also in the run and farewell-prepared to skyrocket your sales this year! You can start it by:
- Decorating your store: Add holiday-themed banners and elements to create an inviting atmosphere for visitors
- Planning holiday specials and offers: This includes exclusive promotions, discounts, or special deals
- Add some animation to your site to match the holiday mood: You can start by appearing in motion as scrolling, or some light animations for important CTAs (even when not hovering over it)
I hope my suggestions are helpful to optimize your store. Have a great day!
Best regards,
Kate | PageFly Team
