New Analytics = Hidden Add To Cart as table view in dashboard

Topic summary

Shopify recently updated its analytics dashboard, replacing the previous conversion funnel table view with a new funnel visualization.

The original poster finds the new interface less intuitive, particularly for stores with low daily traffic. Key concerns include:

  • Hidden actual numbers: The funnel view displays percentages instead of raw data (e.g., number of add-to-carts, checkouts)
  • Unclear metrics: Small numbers appearing beside percentages are confusing and unexplained
  • Inconsistent data: The system shows percentages even with minimal activity (only 2 add-to-carts, zero checkouts)

Attempts to recreate the old table format through custom reports were unsuccessful, as the new reporting system only displays one metric at a time rather than the comprehensive table view.

The user has shared screenshots illustrating both the new funnel view and the limited custom report options. The discussion remains open, seeking recommendations and feedback from others about this analytics update.

Anyone noticed the new dashboard for conversion funnel?

The old table was way more easy to read and intuitive, at least for me as a beginner that still have very few sessions and carts per day. It was useful knowing the numbers at any time of the day.

Now this “funnel view” hides the real number… and whats that smaller numbers besides the percentage (image below marked with red underline)?

In this screenshot, at this time of the day, I had only two add to carts, and no beging checkout / checkout. And it still show some kind of percentage.

I tried creating a new report and use it as a dashboard view, but it shows only one metric at a time. It doesn´t show the full table as it used to be.

Any recommendations? Did you like this new “feature”?
