New analytics issues with comparisons

Topic summary

A user reports an issue with Shopify’s new analytics comparison feature. When attempting to compare current-day sales data up to a specific time (e.g., 2:55pm today) against the same time period from a previous year, the system only displays full-day comparisons instead of hour-by-hour or time-specific data.

Current workaround: The user must manually download spreadsheet data and calculate hourly comparisons themselves.

Status: The issue remains unresolved, with the user seeking clarification on whether this is a system-wide limitation of the new analytics or a technical glitch affecting their account specifically.

The new shopify analytics when comparing gives the full day which is useless, so for example it’s currently 2:55pm in the UK and I want to compare sales today up to 3pm on the same Saturday last year to see if we are on track but its only showing compared to full day amounts so now I need to download a spreadsheet and per hour and work it out myself.

Is this what the new analytics is like or do i have a glitch?
